After 10 years of driving I am still looking for something better. I have been through alot of companies over the years. Always starts off great then within 6 months I am broke. Just like my current job. Been here 6 months, and come to find out its VERY seasonal. Which is not what I was told when I was hired in Apr.
Really wanting to get back out OTR, I miss running out west, but prefer minimal North East. And must be able to bring my wife either with me to orientation or right after. Not this 6 months or 3 months. I dont drive OTR without her.
Not worried about alot of hometime, not worried about the benifits. What I do worry about is my pay check, and having good equipment with an inverter and prefer a fridge already installed. Money is tight can afford to buy one right now

I use to work for Raven Transport out of Jacksonville FL, if you live in their hiring area they are a great paying company and you can take your wife, has inverter and fridge. 45-48 Cpm home every 2 or 3 or 4 weeks or never you can choose.

I don't know where you live, but Lessors has terminals in Idaho, Florida, Minnesota and our music division in Tennessee. We run west a lot and it's certainly not regional.
Another great company to look at is Holland Enterprises. I'm sure you'll be happy at both, mAybe happier at Holland with all the perks, but both run west with APU units, inverters and have pretty liberal passenger programs.joshuasmith8169 Thanks this. -
Never did figure out the Idaho terminal.

6months doesn't sound seasonal to me. Maybe temporary.

It used to be Motor West until Lessors bought them out. We haul lots of Simplot down to SoCal for McDonald's.lots of character Thanks this.

Really appreciate the response, Ill look them up and see if its a potential fit for me

well went to their website, not alot of information offered there, any clue if they hire out of Ohio, and what are their main running areas

was checking into holland and great plains earlier, I know great plains pays every 2 weeks and being owned by the same family I assume holland would as well. Tight as finances are right now I cant chance 2-3 weeks without a check

the job is permanent but the work is seasonal. I started here in April, not realizing how bad it would be over the winters months that are just around the corner
