I don't know about your circumstances. But you've got options when it comes to getting what you want.

You have to call Charlotte. Charlotte is their recruiter and she is very helpful. Though their website has a lack of info she can help you. And they have trucks in Ohio so you should be able to get on. You would have to make a trip to Jacksonville though because that is the only place they do orientation. They offer car rentals and or bus tickets to get there.

They run as far north as PA and as west as Houston Texas. Mostly stay on the southeast.

Also If you want more info I made a thread about them while I was there.

They are a smaller company about 500 or less trucks. Two guys on YouTube make videos about them Matt "littleguytrucker" and TrainerJames. Also filled with information for you to make your decision.

thanks for the info.. will look more into them (Raven that is) really hoping to find something that can at least run some south west as well. I miss the west, and my wife loves it out that way as well. One day we'll move out that way, lol

Why not try local LTL. Being where Fairborn is in Ohio. You should be able to get local work EASILY. Then again, you likely wont be able to have the better half with you on a local route. And most OTR companies are going to make wait a period of time before she can go with. To make sure you're not going to jump ship, before that. You need to earn their trust and respect first.

Not a matter of wanting to jump ship, more of a matter of not wanting to sit at home on unemployment. Really not interested in LTL. I enjoy running OTR, and MOST companies with a rider program would not be an accurate statement. Ive never had to leave her home before, and not about to start now. No disrespect intended I do appreciate that info and have given it much thought.

Honestly really looking to go get away from these Mega Large cookie cutter companies with the same stories from drivers that are just a number. These Mega Carriers are one of the problems with the industry
