Good morning everyone I have 18 speed Eaton fairly new but here is something I feel it’s so weird the stick literally pulls up out of place and then you can push it back in and I hear it hit metal all this when am stopped it shifts just fine when I drive is this normal

It needs to be looked at inside. I drove my buddy’s Pete and his was also slippery. When he drove mine, he had a hard time shifting because it’s not tuned to be shifted cowboy style.
I forgot what setting it is but get a mechanic to tweak it. Not too lose where it is slipping, and not too tight where you literally have to double clutch it to take it out of gear. You can do it yourself, you just need the manual book, it’ll guide you.
Is it normal? Well if the rpms are jumping back and forth, the airbags need to be set at factory setting, or there’s something wrong with the transmission. Other than that, you should be ok. -

How is it “tweaked “?

Low airbags and high airbags jumps the Rpms up and down. The transmission is not leveled. I experienced this when the air valve stick Brooke loose and the air bags dropped. Gears grinding, shifter releasing from gear.Attached Files:
