I'm wanting to put a different grill on my truck because the original one got damaged from a bird. I reall like the looks of the louvered grills with the horizontal bars, but they look like the airflow to the radiator might not be as good. How do these grills measure up compaired to a standard grill with vertical bars?

They have more than enough airflow, get a screen installed behind it or the bugs will eventually cause overheating.

    gunner76 Thanks this.

Look at the Columbia grille compared to the square-hood Peterbilts.

They are about one third in area.

Pickup trucks only need about one third the grille area for proper cooling.

Larger than needed openings waste more fuel.
