I have a 2010 Transtar maxxforce 13 and it is pushing black engine oil out of the power steering reservoir. The only logical explanation I would think is the ps pump. Am I right and how do I go about changing/fixing it? Thanks

About a year ago the fluid would get low occasionally I'm guessing ps fluid leaked into engine oil but now opposite

The P/S pump has a seal in it that works both ways it needs to be replaced, or if you have plenty of $ you can buy a new pump?
BoxCarKidd and Jhncp Thank this. -

I'm poor so if I can just replace seal that would be great. Any advise where pump is and how to go about it?

OK sorry just find p/s steering lines and they will led you to pump, unbolt pump and seal will be in back of pump, buy seal 1st just to be sure you have it before you take it apart?

We don't replace the input seal on power steering pumps at the dealer level, we replace the pump. You would have to take the pump to a hydraulic specialty shop to locate the seal.

Probably just a plugged filter in the box with the cyclone.
