I was looking to see if someone was a member but assume that you have taken that away from the users in light of the PM posting that was going on?

GoForce, yes, we took member list away from regular members as there is usually never a need for members to access the list as their profiles are still accessible via their posts, etc. We always get people with ONE post wanting access to the member list which is not good as we usually see these are recruiters, etc. Our member list will no longer be public as we protect our members from recruiters, spammers and scammers that are RAMPANT on the net these days.

If you want to know if someone is a member, look in the forum or PM an Admin/Mod to ask. PMs had to be set to 50 as ex-members were signing back up in order to PM members as fast as possible. We will no longer tolerate abuse of our member list or PM system. We are a forum, not Gmail (Sign up for Gmail if you need an e-mail account, please). Thanks!

It is ALWAYS suspicious when members with less than 20 posts sign up and want access to our memberlist...they are usually up to no good, not saying this about you, but we have a hard time of keeping spammers, scammers, and recruiters out so this simply was one way to make it harder for them to do.
