There may be room for error now days but in the old days there was no room for error. My dad was born in the 50’s and his dad the 20’s, his dad the 1890’s. In the old days if you messed up it was a back hand across the the face for next to nothing. Thank God my Dad didn’t carry that thru to me but perfection is the expectation. So, I understand why my Dad expected perfection out of himself and I tried to model myself after him.
