Im looking to leave my current company and come over to drive for Millis. From what I see on this forum drivers here seem to like the company. I see that Millis has Dedicated in GA as well as Regional and OTR. I would rather be on either the GA dedicated or regional as I am now currently OTR and want a change though I must admit Millis OTR doesnt seem so bad as far as hometime goes. I prefer GA dedicated or regional and want to know how hard this will be to get on right from the start as I have one year recent OTR experience.

I don't think its hard to get onto GA regional, just have to make sure there are spots open for it.
-
I really don't know anything about anything other than OTR BUT Millis is a great company. I have had no issues and it seems that they actually care about their drivers.
-
I don't know of any dedicated in GA. But then again there seems to be small accounts that have dedicated drivers here and there. I am GA regional and since you are experienced I would call recruiting and see if there are any spots open. If so, you should be able to go to orientation and straight to regional. I love it here! Even when I have a frustrating week, I just look at the paycheck and smile! Not saying you're going to get rich driving a truck anywhere, but I am grossing $1000 or more a week at my current scale and home every weekend.
Myoneload Thanks this. -
LB how much experience do they want for regional or local? Do you have to live near a terminal for regional? Do they take the road truck from ya and give coffin sleepers?
-
No more experience needed for regional.
If you live near a terminal (within 50 miles) you park at the terminal. I take my truck and load home.
Yes you will get a smaller truck. But the new cascadias are tall enough to stand up in. Just no cabinets -
The smaller truck is no issue as I am currently in a small cascadia now. I'm just looking for better hometime without my pay taking a huge hit and so even if I can average about 700 weekly I'm fine. Where all do u run on Ga regional?
-
hahha i have a big truck and i am regional.
-
Lol yeah but you're up north ain't ya?
-
I hear some say they make more. Some say they make less on regional. It all depends on if you like to run and run hard!
I run FL GA AL SC NC MS TN and sometimes into VA.
