From what I understand, the Google cars in San Francisco area follow maps. It will be a long time before they map the whole country. Furthermore, some Google cars have been in accidents. I'm not fearing unemployment just yet.

Ya, 1 death in 1.5 million miles is huge. And that mileage is just Google's car, not the others included in that. -
Autonomous trucks? Just people trying to get extra money from governments.
Neither automaker could answer on 1 simply question.
Car driving on highway 70-75 as usual . Suddenly kid jumping out in front of car. On both sides electrical poles . What should robot have to do? Drive car into pole with driver , and trying to save kid but kill driver, or killing kid and let driver live. Don't forget driver did not do anything wrong... -
