I just gotta super glue my diphole into the mount the freight shaker hasn't totally thrown it out but brought it out a few screws.
-
I'm thinking about buying a regular mount and mounting it to the mount I have and just tightening the heck out of it. But is there a way to tell that the radio is grounded better?
-
You don't need a new mount. Just drill a hole in the flat part of your existing mount, just in front of the two mounting bolts, so you can put the downward antenna there. You'll be setup about perfectly then.

I'm not understanding you? I need a place to put the antenna right... like a antenna port without the coax right? I can't just drill a hole and stick the antenna in it
-
Use a 3/8-24 bolt (1" long max) and a long (1-7/8") stud nut. Remember to use all stainless stuff. No "antenna port" needed...

That's what I needed

Sounds like you have a Galaxy 919 that has had a RFX board added to the back...Depending on which RFX Amp-kit was installed, it could do between 75 and 150 watts...(without the RFX-kit the radio would only be doing around 10-12 watts)

Switched to a cascadia. And that's my dipole. Still runs about 1 swr across all channels don't know how much farther I get out havent tested it yet
