Would it be ok to install vibration isolator pads on the motor mounts of most semi's.....just to work toward a quieter rig????
Any rigs that would not go for that????
Has anyone sprayed Lizard skin on all the metal under the hood and firewall to quiet things down??

Most all engines are setting on rubber isolator pads. I can't think of any off top of my head that are solid mounted. However when they get wore out they set down on a metal pipe that the bolt runs thru in the center and this will cause a little extra vibration and noise. I'm not sure about the lizard skin might be worth a try. If you dont have one they make a zip up shifter cover that goes over shifter and boot in floor they really quiet one down, and there are easy to take in and out if you drive local and swap trucks often.
