Anyone have an opinion on starter brand or type for c-15,, I think a Delco m44 gear reduction starter is a good choice, but a Mitsubishi m39 gear reduction is $300.00 cheaper and only difference is coil on solenoid . Looks like all starters are made in Asia anyway.

Company I work with now got a fleet of MB Actros with Mitsubisi starters. It is good till it works. When it fails it is easier to switch to Delco ore Bosch. COPG is used by all the starter makers now. So I'd choose Delco ore Bosch for parts availability.... U never know what a distant village your starter goes bad... Really I have spare M42 (no COPG) in my garage. I can send it to my driver any time, becouse he can easily install it.

go with either a delco 39mt or 44mt. The 44mt is relatively new and probably has a long wait time, but it comes with a 44 month warranty and lots more power.

I'll second the 39MT. They've been trouble free for us for many years.

Bought a Mitsubishi 39mt, went to dealer on a hunch and looked at delco 39mt, except for sticker, they are exactly the same. Mitsubishi electric is a huge company.
