I used to live near there. The number of truckers who have died on Cabbage Hill from underestimating the hill is far too large. They've taken out cars full of people at the bottom after surviving the curves, too. I cannot begin to count the number of truck's I've seen flying past the exit at Arrowhead being followed by a cloud of smoke from the brakes. And that goes for motorhomes, pickups with trailers, box trucks and even smelled a few cars with hot brakes, too.
What it's about? The long continuous grade with long sharp curves and only two lanes and the fact that car drivers have no idea they should watch their mirrors past the Arrowhead exit and get out of the way... (same for pickups, motorhomes, etc)
