How does one find an independent recruiter who specializes in the logistics industry and how much do they charge you?

Update: I've been on the road as a 4 wheeler for 2 days now. Have been practicing courteous behavior w/ the T/T crowd, so if you thought wtf...that driver get's it - t'was me. Anyway, it's been liberating not having to log stops and what not, and kinda hard to realize that yes, I can go thru a drive thru, or even purchase some Crown Royal Black and not have it be illegal. In retrospect I feel I've been a slave to the government for a while now. How long will we tolerate this and where will we go once we're defeated? Anywho, I've chosen my new job and am looking forward to a few weeks off - will update asap.

Made it to San Antonio and am trying to make the transplant system work. My front running company pays percentage and has me home on weekends and a time or two per week...will update.,,

**Update** I'm set to start at my new company on Monday and will create a thread for them once I'm settled in. I have to admit I've enjoyed my time off immensely. I managed to get a nice apt in a gated community, and have had to do a lot of shopping. Actually, I was able to purchase high end furniture, one of those new 4K 3D TV's, and a sweet lil' 2008 BMW 325i sport coupe! THANK YOU MAGNUM LTD!!!

I hope you have time to enjoy SA. Our daughter lives there with her husband and our two year old granddaughter. We absolutely love the place. It's a pleasant change from New Joisey for sure. Best of luck to you and as always, be safe.

LMFAO!!! After diligent research and inquiry I accepted a job out of Houston that had me home weekends and 2-3 nights during the week. So, I show up for the 1 day orientation and everything's moving along. At the end they say "You need to sign a contract". "Huh? What is this contract that you speak of"? They laid it down and left the room. I skimmed it till I got to the portion of a $1,000 escrow, which they would hold on to for 45 days if I quit. It then went into they would need $3,500 for something else (not sure as I had tears rolling outta my eyes from laughter). And of course, there was the item mentioning I would be charged for improper log entries, blah, blah, blah. The last part I read was that I would be required to sign a "non compete" clause. So I call the guy back in and said I would need my attorney to review it. He balked - I walked. Just goes to show ya that even the vets can be suckered in out here...
