Mule Day Champion

Not exactly a trucking story, but I have to be proud of my fellow Averitt Express driver who took home the prestigious King Mule award. Apparently a huge deal among those in the mule community, since the governor made an appearance there in Columbia TN, home of Stering Marlin.

 

...but I didn't want to start a new thread for this vehicle I spotted this morning in Waynesboro GA.
Not my thing at all, but I had to admire the workmanship involved in this project.
Maybe not evident in the photo, but the paint was awesome. Plus I'm partial to that color.

 

Spotted in my neighbors yard. This chick apparently only dates guys with cool rides.
Last month it was a red COBRA.

 

Weather finally getting tolerable in my neck of the woods so I got out the Meguairs NXT Tech wax. Good stuff.

 

Saw this at a car show today. 1955 Ford stock car. Rex White, 1960 NASCAR champion was there too.

 

Memorial in front of car lists winners at this track which operated from 1960-1970.
Names include Richard Petty, David Pearson, Cale Yarborough, Ned Jarrett and Rex White.

I agree completely. I was just sitting at a red light and there it was.
The paint job is what initially caught my eye. As I passed closer it was obvious some serious work went into it, as painful as it is for me to look at.
