I just joined TR, although I'm a regular on two other trucking forums. I have a total of 43 years in the industry. I've been an O/O, coast to coast sleeper team (briefly), I've driven three axle and two axle tractors. One or two sticks, 53', double and triples. Refrigerated and dry vans, flat racks, both doubles and singles. I was also a driver trainer for line haul. I retired from Viking/Fedex Freight in January after 33.5 years of service. I retired as a master level driver with more than 3 million accident free miles. If your new to the industry, feel free to ask me any question. Happy Trails TP

I just joined the truckers forum. I got out of trucking a year ago. most of 30 years spent as an OO in heavy haul then super heavy haul. Missing the action of job sites where stuff is being built, demolished, dug up,layed, operated, set up or buried for good money in all types of weather. I moved to South Dakota from West Texas after being widowed and wanting to start over. Sold my 4 axle Pete's and my 8 to 13 axle low boys. Now that I'm settled into The Black Hills I'm ready to get back to work. This time I don't want to worry about permits and escorts or throwing 1/2" binder chains. I have a Texas Oil Field truck I brought with me. I think it would be good backup to a sleeper cab water truck/tractor. I'm trying to learn about the business now. I plan on taking a stroll to Williston next week to check out the oportunitys.
