yeah its insured. it shut down going into the driveway, what i thought initially was steam coming out of the radiator cap, was actually smoke from the engine fire. i got out saw the flames and called the fire department. the truck started up again on its own and ended up revving up and finally shutting down. ughhhhh im just sickened by this.....

Wow, that’s a shame that’s a nice truck, at least you’re not stranded somewhere. Best of luck!

Did you have anything in it? Thank God you or somebody else wasn't in it. That's one of my biggest fears is being trapped in a burning truck.

I just got it back from peterbilt and was coming home to load up clothes and food and head to Laredo. It only took about 30 seconds to go from seeing smoke to having flames to the top of the sleeper. Fortunately I got away. But there was huge concern for air tanks blowing or fuel tanks rupturing. The fire department was cool and level headed. They asked if anyone was in the truck then where is my insurance lol. They got the permit book quick. I joked with him and he said they wanna get paid too.

So do you know what's wrong with it yet and what caused it to do that? That is some crazy stuff and in a residential area too, so many things could have gone wrong. Like I said thank God nobody got hurt.
