I've only been driving a truck since July '15. Started with my first company in their training program, things were fine. Earlier this month I was involved in my first accident ever in which I received a citation for improper lane change and yesterday was notified by my company that they were letting me go. I chose to resign rather than be terminated, for whatever good it will do. Now, after having contacted a few companies, no one can help me until I get another six months of accident-free road experience. Does anyone here know of any non-shady outfits that will help me get back to work ASAP? Any advice from you all is greatly appreciated.
My predicament, need advice going forward

Apply to all the companies you can. Someone maybe in need of your services. I was in that position many years ago. I applied to all the companies I could. I heard a lot of no's but eventually someone gave me a opportunity. I hope all works out for you & be determined.

As ibcalm19 stated, you need to apply to every comapny that you can, based on how soon you wan to go back to work, you may not have the option to be choosy. Getting your 1 year experience in is what is important at this point.

95% are shady. That doesn't mean they'll hire you. It's a shady business. Good luck to you.

Just bite the bullet and go with one of the bigger companies atleast until you get a year under your belt.
