Kind of an apple to orange comparison. What application they're being used for is what's going to make the difference. If you're running the western 11 grossed out to 80k constantly, you'd want the N-14. In a easy line haul operation, the M-11 would probably work out for you. Both engines can be set to different HP. and Torque applications.

Also it’s a light engine I’m not sure I would want an M11 in the snow unless I have a set back axle. I have to slide my 5th wheel fwd to keep from pushing through intersections into the guard rail.....this crowds my headache rack and step deck frame.
Leaks oil from everywhere..... front acc drive cover, oil pan, rear main seal, wiring harness grommet at the rear of the head, air compressor mounting hole...all this and I still don’t add oil with a 12k intervalralphbohm Thanks this. -

Perhaps not grossing 85k in the Appalachians might help but then it’s hard to get paid for hauling nothingLast edited: Mar 8, 2018

I have a 6.7L Powerstroke in an F550 Ford that is LUCKY to see 9 mpg. There is no way you're going to get double digits in a tractor trailer (or even in just a straight tractor).
