I'm looking into getting my CDL class A and don't know where to start. I make minimum wage as it is and really need a new job. Any advice is welcomed.
Can you swing a private cdl school or will you need a trucking company school? Some trucking company schools will do a hair follicle drug test, so you need to be clean 12 months to pass. Some do a urine drug test, so you need to be clean 90 days to pass. Which do you prefer or does it matter? If you fail either one, you're in big trouble for a few months as to starting a trucking career.
I’ll have no problem passing a drug test. As far as school goes, I much rather prefer a trucking company school where I’m paid as I train.
