I've been driving a tandem dump locally for the last 3 to 4 years because I had. to be home for my dad who I was caring for....he recently passed away....I was netting right at 1,000 a week.....I can stay here and continue but if the pay werer better I'd go back on the road.....have experience in hauling jet fuel and frameless dump.....what are your thoughts on increased income?

If it is working for you, and the money is there, keep what you got. Thats a reasonable income for what you’re doing. OTR is not going to be any better.

1099 ot W-2? You are right, there is good money to be made running OTR. It's not just working hard, but working smart.

There’s no taxes taken out on what he has shown. And I see he’s not paid for deadhead miles. If you factor that in his .82 a mile isn’t all that much more than a good paying w2 job with benefits.

    Opus Thanks this.

I know it. I just wanted him to establish that for the jury. Then that would have spoke for itself.

1099, show me another flatbed outfit that pays anywhere close with 3200 miles a week average. .82 doesn’t include .3 bonus plus .5 winter driving bonus starting next month.

    Long FLD Thanks this.

Nothing to speak for, use the tools of the industry. I enjoy taking a week off after 4 weeks or taking 2 month off in winter if I want. Company has great safety score, good equipment, good dispatch, I wouldn’t change it for nothing else.
