Im curious if any owner/operators rely on a certain load board mobile app? I’ve been poking around for new options. If so, what do you like about the app you’re using? what do you dislike? Are you avoiding using an app entirely?
Seems to me a lot of guys hate spending time on the phone, was just curious why I haven’t heard of the next best thing mobile load board app out?

I personally use DAT loadboard I think it's one of the most popular load board if u don't have direct sippers.
Opendeckin and KW11 Thank this. -
If your not making phone calls your leaving money on the table. Even in tougher times we still get a few bucks added onto the rate most times.
Making calls and negotiating rates is no fun but your killing us all if you just take there offer.
We use mostly Internet Truckstop and sometimes DATTallJoe, Humblepie, EzekelRAGE and 5 others Thank this. -
Man and it seems to be a lot of guys trying to kill us!! I understand we all have different bottom lines!! However what some of these guys are willing to take a broker load is crazy!!!wore out, whoopNride, MagnumaMoose and 1 other person Thank this.

I outsourced it to a 3rd party dispatch service that invests in data analytics software to get more live insight into the market conditions than I ever could. More importantly they save me a loooooooottttt of phone calls. It's the best $125 I spend every week. Dispatching blows. Trucking is fun.xsetra Thanks this.

I’ll keep that $500.00 a month or $6000.00 a year!! I don’t enjoy being lied too but I do enjoy the exchange with good brokers. Since I don’t have customers in a lot of the areas my customers send me I spend a lot of time making calls!! It helps me pass the time. For the record trucking used to be fun!!wore out, whoopNride, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this.

My peace of mind is worth a heck of a lot more than 500 bucks a month. Also if they save me just one day of sitting per month they pay for themselves. They save me more than one day a month since they can keep working the phone lines while I'm driving, tarping and fueling. You're stepping over dollars to save pennies and driving yourself mad while doing it.
Trucking is still fun for guys like me. Old school Flat top flat windshield W9 with a moose bumper. Pre 2k 550 Cat under the hood with no governor. It's never been so fun.D.Tibbitt and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Tug nailed it.
If you haul for some of these brokers you get put on their email list and everyday they send several Emails through out the day. Any load on email list is crap I've learned. More than once I have haul something for a broker and get put on the email list and get the email with same load the next day, week or month and it's not even close to what I hauled it for.
If it wasn't for my wife running the phone I'd probably be leased to someone. As blade says though, a few of them are fun to talk to. Just not nearly enough of them for me to do it.13grinder and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I completely agree. I do use a dispatching service and it is so much easier to get top paying loads, (Gold Nugget Loads). They weed out bad and non paying brokers. They also only deal with brokers that are known to pay on time, pay layover, detention, advances, and etc with no problems and no delays. They constantly keep me rolling (2-3 loads at a time waiting on me) and they find loads in areas I would never thought I could get a load out of! Best money I spend on a weekly bases! By far.
Also the guy that finds my loads he is a top notch negotiator, he is hungry and very motivated to find good paying loads and he has kids to feed as well! Lol. Win-win for everyone!Last edited: May 10, 2019
