See them all the time,,eyes not moving and a good chance oncoming traffic is asleep is they dont dim their headlights.
24 years on line haul and have not blinked in years,,,,I never get sleepy behind wheel on my run, I turn on like a light switch when I get behind the wheel until i get home.

Blackout windows in your room. Noise machine like a fan or something. Ear plugs if need be. Sleeping 8 hrs generally ruins me. Average 5-6 hrs. Try to drink coffee instead of energy drinks. Coffee just seems more potent then energy drinks. Try not to eat carbs or heavy meals fullness will put you to sleep try to keep eating light. Get out and use the restroom. Do a walk around acouple times. Let’s blood circulate and wakes you up. Take 15 min naps set your alarm. I’ve made it 550 miles on 1hr of sleep cause of a neighbors dog kept me up on a 5 min nap. Know your limits and don’t push it when your feeling sleepy immediately find a spot to close your eyes. Talk radio over music unless it pumps you up.
