Good Afternoon drivers,
I been having a CDL since 2018..worked for multiple companies during that time. I just moved to a different state and switch my license over. I ordered a DAC report from hireright and they are claiming that they have no dac report for any of my licenses. Has anyone else gone through this?
No DAC report

It's likely that the employers you've had don't use DAC.....&/or they use another similar service.
When I left Schneider--to check up on things...I ordered my DAC report.
No dice.
Turns out....Schneider uses another reporting system....I think it's called, "DriverIQ".

No dac report, you should be glad. Many megas love to put something on it so their employees feel they won’t get hired done where else and keep driving with them.

HireRight, the creator of the (Drive-A-Check, DAC) report declared bankruptcy back in 2015 because a driver who couldn’t get hired after leaving a company sued HireRight and proved that they were putting notes on driver’s records that only companies could see, notes that had nothing to do with safety or accidents.
The liability was huge. You probably had thousands of drivers who’d had their lives ruined: lost houses, lost custody of their kids, divorces, all from HireRight’s shady actions.
When you file bankruptcy, it starts a countdown to when you can no longer be sued by past customers.BigRedSA, Tcoop34 and silverspur Thank this. -
Save W-2's , paystubs, for proof of employment.

You only need pay records if you don't want your current or past employer contacted.
Dac can't provide employment history as a majority of trucking companies don't use it.
On another note..I'd think every person in the country would have a dac record. I mean. Last time I ordered mine it pretty much had my entire life history. -

Thanks for all the replies drivers. Im still new to the industry so I thought the DAC/hireright was the law over the whole trucking industry. Definitely glad to hear otherwise.
tscottme and Short Fuse EOD Thank this. -
I've been driving for 23 years. I just requested my HireRight report about 2 weeks ago, and there's nothing on it.
Good thing I keep pay stubs and W-2s.
