Well first of all, when ever I would stop for my 10 hours, I would of course, fuel up, park the truck, grab my shower bag, and inside I go. Once inside, I try to get my shower first, then my dinner, so that by the time I do go back to my truck, I am dry. Yes, I have had the air lines break, especially those plastic ones. I always preferred the real rubber types. Yes, there are certainly a whole lot more cell towers these days then in the past, but that is not any guarantee you will get service. Trucks may be sealed better these days, and heating systems may be better as well, but in extreme cold, they do have at time, trouble keeping up. I hope everyone carries a "survival pack", like a few bottles of fresh water, and some peanut butter crackers, some saltine crackers, and maybe some bread, along with a jar or two of peanut butter, and maybe some candy bars. If one cannot eat peanuts or peanut butter, then take along some tyoe of jelly spread.

Even with everything available today ( Products / Information ) there are still some drivers who NEVER PREPARE for the WHAT CAN HAPPEN.

See many who never take proper winter clothing as it ALWAYS warm in the TRUCK, they believe winter washer fluid is just hype besides the reservoir is under the hood so the summer stuff should not freeze, ANTI GEL was for the old days when fuel was bad. then you get the ones who Left their spare stuff at home but got XBOX,PS4, 55" PLASMA TV , 500 LBS of exercise weights.

Best as I can tell, (nw), North West?

    generatio, Geriatric drivers?

So in short, old drivers from the north west? Should be prepared to drive across the country in the winter?

Ah now I see! I'm not familiar with the term new generation cold.
