1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

You don't give enough information where you are from. Since you said WSE, I will assume WI = try the Schneider O/O program.

    Hey BamaCash,

My hubby drives for JCT (John Christner Trucking). And if you read the thread you'll see many agree lol. JCT does hire O/O's and it's a reefer company. He treats his drivers darn good. We have been with him now for almost a year and we are not leaving. He pays road/highway taxes, he pays for permits, everything. The only thing you pay is the $877.00 a week for expenses, and your fuel. That's it! You get PikePass, EZ pass, and Kpass. If you pay for a toll he reimburses you. If you have to pay for a lumper he reimburses you. They see you like to run (ahem and since you own your truck all ready that won't be a problem lol), you will get the miles. My hubby is solo and we get 4000 plus miles a week. You get Fuel surcharge which he goes by the National Fuel Surcharge which is only 16 c.p.m. right now plus 90 c.p.m plus 2 c.p.m.. (The 2 c.p.m. is what goes towards your safety bonus). Yes I know it's only a $1.08 a mile but the National Fuel Surcharge does fluctuate. Like in Nov. we were getting 56 c.p.m. for FSC because of the diesel prices. Ok face it. With the fuel it's a darn if you do darn if you don't situation. Now with the maintenance fund. I know like with hubby and I when we finally own the truck we're in we will still get our maintenance fund after. But I am not sure if you do if you come in the truck you all ready own. That you would have to check up on, sorry. And I promise you he treats his drivers like gold. He said himself without my drivers I would be nowhere. You can talk to any JCT driver out on the road and he would tell you the same thing. The only thing Mr. Christner asks in return is never be late for a load. That's asking nothing at all in return. My hubby and I talked to him personally for an hour and one of the nicest men you would want to meet. He told all his employees you treat me like any other employee, not like the owner of this company. And if you have a problem of any type, he and his two sons have an open door policy and they are more than happy to sit down with you and figure it out to a solution. I hope this helped. Anymore questions please feel free.
