1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

    I know I should've put this thread in O/O part of the forum, but for some reason it won't let me log in over there.

    Anyways, I was gonna ask if anyone has been part of Power Only Program, and how did they like it. I kinda looked around and checked with the obvious - Schneider and JB Hunt ( used to work for JB as a co. driver, and yes go ahead and hold it against me if you like ).

    Schneider pays % of the gross, will let you use their trl to book loads with another broker if they don't have loads in the area you are in ( for the fee ofcourse ). And you can negotiate the rates with them on all loads;

    JB pays $1.57 a mile / $.88 mty, but will not let you use their trl to book other loads, so you are pretty much stuck with them.

    They both said that they would let me choose the region I'd like to run, which is not that bad. Usually right now I am running da.n East Coast, rates to go over there are not that bad $ 2.20-2.35, but coming back to MW is just not right.

    So if any1 has any input, please let me know I'd appreciate it.

    using there trailers is nice because you can do alot of drop n hooks and it lets you work while you save up for your own trailer.

    however if you're going to lease to a company liek that you may as well just drive a co truck. No offense but the only legitamate reason to be an o/o is the freedom to do what you want and you have no freedom with those companies you'r just a company driver with a truck payment
