Most of our pipe customers require pipe stake protection. I hated the plastic drainage pipe most folks use, it constantly rides up when the pipe rotates as the forklift backs up when laying layers on your dunnage. The fire hose stays in place much better. Buying new hose eliminates the embedded glass and grit from used hose.jamespmack and REO6205 Thank this.

We have a big pile of old hose out behind the shop. With all the fires we had out here last year everybody really went through the stuff.
One of our shop kids spent about a week steam-cleaning the dirt and soot out and they look pretty good. I think we have a life-time supply now.
One of our low bed drivers cuts two foot lengths and doesn't slit the sides. He just puts them on over the chains and leaves them there.Lepton1 and jamespmack Thank this. -
I use my old 4” straps I cut them in 8” strips and I melt the end with my torch. I use these only for my straps. They don’t use a lot of space.
jamespmack and Lepton1 Thank this.
