IMG_5344.jpeg IMG_5344.jpeg IMG_5344.jpeg Good evening drivers, hopefully I’m in the right sub for this. I’m looking for some part numbers for an old fruehauf end dump trailers I’ll attach some pictures to try and help.
I need the S cam bushing and support bracket.
I bought the trailer from some old farmer, he had some trouble getting it plated as a Fruehauf trailer. So I don’t think the vin would help in this situation as it is listed as a gold star end dump but it is clearly a Fruehauf.

im hoping the sticker on the front end of the dump can help specifying the age of the dump trailer. Maybe they used different fonts on the lettering for different years produced?

That Fruehauf logo was used from 1960’s up thru the mid 70’s. Unfortunately none of the serial number records were retained during the liquidation of their assets to Wabash. If he had trouble getting it titled as a Fruehauf the only reason I can come up with is because the name hasn’t been known in the US as a manufacturer in 25 years. I have 4 of them. Flats and vans never had a problem with titles or registration even on my 1947 and 1950, and parts are still available.

awesome! I was really hoping the font lettering would be able to date the trailer.
Google said the VIN tag would be near the landing gear but no luck. Any tips on where to find VIN or another code?

The older trailer serial’s before the new vin system came out in the late 70’s early 80’s for trucks and trailers were usually just stamped on a tag. Fruehauf put the tags on the nose by the glad hands. Trailers really didn't have hidden vins anywhere else that I know of. I’ve been all over every inch rebuilding some older trailers and never seen anything other than a vender part number, or cssting numbers, or a US Steel or Kaiser Steel stamp on a rail or crossmember.

It’s easier to pull the stuff and carry it into a trailer place in my opinion. The brackets you may have to make. Sometimes you can update the axles fairly easily which gets you out board drums etc.
