A few snowflakes - not a storm.. I came from the East which was by far the worst that night and the roads were only wet till I hit the highest elevations that night.. Like Pa 31 around the Somerset tunnel since I had inhalation in the back box..
-
Hahaha.. No tears needed.. Was not sitting in the break room but I do suppose getting paid to wait isn't all that bad - was able to re-work what would be my lead wagon to get all that weight up there in the nose - dangerous when wet man - over the hump again..
Never sugar coated it - insert "insult".. It is what it is.. The majority are morons - ever listen to 19??
Never let a few snowflakes bother me.. Just do what I have to do - usually involves rolling all the clowns running 30 in the packed down icy right lane.. Any experienced driver knows the snow covered lane often offers the best traction/grip..
I don't get the comment about burger flipping though?? I'm a reasonably intelligent person but I can't figure that one out man..
By the way, about 3 hours late again Wednesday night and we could make that 4 since he couldn't back into the door.. Would have been 5 but another Con-way driver out of Philly finally had him drop it where he was and had it to a door in a minute right..
All of you whine and moan about inexperienced drivers and pay/freight rates yet you all call me out (which is fine) for calling out drivers that can't drive and the reason pay sucks - drivers accept it.. Get off your pedestals dudes - not all of us hit a truck stop and run our mouths that can't even form a sentence when it snows. We keep going and do what we're paid to do but can't even use 19 for urgent reasons around heavy truck areas because some loser is running his loud anonymous mouth on 19..
So what do you want? I won't be driving for the rest of 2011 because I was sick and tired of driving along side other trucks for the most part.. There are still class acts out there like MOST ABF, Con-way, UPS, Wal*Mart, and FedEx Freight drivers as well as the old time O/O's out here in Pa, Md, and NJ but most of you have no clue what you're doing behind the wheel and even less interacting with the public.. I do an annual highway cleanup involving the Catholic Diocese in my area and I'm disgusted - poop bags, piss bottles, and garbage bags in rest areas - not cars man..
These are the reasons I carry myself the way I do on here - it's real and the way I see things.. Should mention that I'm far from anonymous and very easy to identify - will tell you the same thing face to face.. I know my co-workers well and when I/they get held up running back into heavy traffic areas because some lard rear end in sweats thinks it's too bad to drive I get fired up.. Many truck drivers are exemplary but most suck and I'll say it..
I'm not driving this year.. I took a bid where I won't have to drive.. Make your comments but it is what it is.. Most truck drivers lack actual driving skill, public relation skills, but can talk a big game right.. Have fun out there drivah's..hahaha.. I'll miss it like the stomach flu..haha..
I'm not a moron either man.. I'm bumping a million miles now accident/citation free minus an Ohio ticket when it was still 55.. I have a chemistry degree from Penn State and this is where I went to high school which I feel is worth mentioning because I'm proud of it and my lifelong freinds went there as well and are successful people as am I in many aspects....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_Preparatory_SchoolLast edited: Jan 15, 2011
