    Sammy,
No doubt! You are absolutely correct. When I get home I try to make sure we go out to dinner and do something fun. Then we try to have a movie night, where we all get in bed early watch a movie and cuddle. There is nothing better in the world. I have a family that I come home to, My son is 7 and my daughter is 5.

I learned years ago that you can never replace lost time with your kids. separation is hard on a marriage. I talked to my favorite blues guitarist, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, last year about staying in touch with the family while he's on the road. He said he skypes via his Iphone daily.
I take a guitar and amp in the truck and when I occasionally get to take the wife, we always see a movie or go somewhere, esp if we get a down day in a location we haven't been to....

Thanks for the input sammy. I am leaving right after new years for my first driving job since getting my CDL and I am sure that being away from home will be the hardest part of the job. I have plans for my wife and I and believe that my new career will help me obtain my goals so I will do what has to be done to be successful.Mery Christmas to all and stay safe out there.:biggrin_255:
