I'd like to say that's not possible as i bought them from Pete but, I suppose that it could be. I'll have to check in on that

    did you do both axles?

if not maybe doing the rear axle too would stop this problem.

    spsauerland and BoxCarKidd Thank this.

I have had the issue on trucks before if the axle with the stronger brakes didn't have ABS. Do both have wheel speed sensors? Fix was four wheel brake job.

Put. Your old shoes on with new hardware. See if it's the shoes.
    Have you replaced shoes before?
If not remove the other axle wheel and drum. Check you have correctly installed springs and hardware.

I work for some people that are thrifty.
OK can we do this axle now and the other axle next month? Sure. Hope that advice keeps me from having the problem.

I have relined one axle, many time in the past, and never had the issue you are describing. Gonna reread your post again..but is that btail only?

Ok its loaded or empty. They must really be grabbing. I would say if everthing checks out that has been mentioned. Back the grabby brake adjustment off a bit (stay within legal limits) see if that makes a difference. I would carry my wrenchs with me, and mayby readjust if necessary. If you do that stuff yourself? Self adjusters need to be kept honest once in awhile. Usually not but sometimes.

Brakes are definitely cheaper to replace than replacing flat spotted tires!
