His trailer was to the left on the scale and in danger of failing off. So he pulled the tractor to the right, and Roberts your father's brother, off he went.

This is a huge problem. Not just missing the scales or backing in to the dock crooked, but all over our highways. These dang mega companies have created this attitude. They hire kids, promise the world, and then pay peanuts. The driver is smart enough to finally figure out that there is no future in this truckin' thing, that they're barely paying the light bill at home, that they can make a better living working at the local Walmart and still be home every night to play their precious video games.
So, while driving and thinking about all this, it all comes together and they devise a plan: I'm quitting. Gonna get a regular job and have a life. Screw this company, this truck, and this whole truckin' thing. And they put their 2-weeks notice in.
Then, the next dock they have to back into, or the next scale they have to pull on, you get this kind of crap driving, with an attitude to match.DDlighttruck, rocknroll81, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
Lady: "Why you leave door here? You ruin my bay!"
Guy on left: "Uh.....it was like that when I got here. Yeah! Musta been the last guy."
Lady: "Not sure if you blind or just stupid...."
For some reason the lady is Asian to me lolDave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
There's some videos on UTube, guy's are talking about 400 or 500 mile weeks.
Away from home, and barely make enough to break even to feed yourself, sleeping in the truck, with somebody nagging you about your idle telling you go in the lounge and stay there to save fuel. Yet the trainee looks at his new $130K truck filled with $10K worth of electronic garbage, and begins to ask himself " What's wrong with this picture?"
I have 200 or 300 miles every week going up & down the main drag in the industrial sections on the south side just doing pick ups & deliveries lol.ShooterK2 and rocknroll81 Thank this. -
Attitude is everything, if that driver would have had a better attitude I feel that he would not have hit the building, pole and my mirror. But your right, these mega's are really messing with these young drivers.G13Tomcat, ShooterK2 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Ummmmmm how??

Been to a few places where you had to open the doors once inside , and close them before you pull out.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
I've been trying to figure that out?
-
Think bee stinger. It goes in, but doesn't come out, at least not by the insect's own strength.
In this case, it looks like the door caught the post like a barb. To prevent that, someone would've had to hold the door against the trailer wall as he pulled out, until the door was clear of the post.G13Tomcat Thanks this.
