If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Not so sure I like that attitude.

BTW your local road that "the taxpayer are funding" is BLOCKED BY AN ERRANT TRUCK! You might wanna do something about that? (Pull it out or push it the rest of the way down the hill, both would qualify as "something")

I dunno, I think I could make that turn if I crossed over the line. Is it just me? (Catches up on the thread) guess not.

Great story gentleroger. Love how clients cheap out then complain that it's our fault we don't do the impossible. I'd never go there a second time. Drop his freight in the driveway and split. I did a few nursing homes like that last fall. New construction, kitchens going in, the parking lots weren't even paved yet and it didn't matter because they were smaller than the trailer. Maybe 8-16 parking spaces. But the GM wants me to back in off the street. "Well maybe your architect shouldn't have put an S bend in the DRIVEWAY!!!"

I think I found the curve on Google Maps last night. I don't think is doable even starting all the way to the left. Once the tandems get onto the soft shoulder I think the trailer would slide down the embankment.

If you got positioned just right, then grabbed a couple gears and hammer down, maybe.

    I still want to try . . .

By the time you realize this is FUBAR it’s too late and your committed.

I got summoned last minute to drop off a empty tank and pick up a loaded one off a farm I had never been to before out in the sticks

Halfway down the one lane washed out dirt road I turned off onto I knew there was no turning back in the dark.

    Wait it gets better.

With my power of the Sun high beams guiding me after the 4 th hairpin turn I see a s 15% grade hill in front of me and drop a gear and floor it

Half way up the hill I am spinning on the gravel and wheel hopping wishing I had stoped and locked in the differentials 1st.

I barely clear the hill with the seat swallowed by my butt and see the farm ahead with a sigh of relief knowing I was on the right road.

After trying to find someone awake on the farm and finding my full tank I ask the Hand is there a better way out of there because there was no way I could haul a loaded tank out of there.

He said oh yea you go that way, pointing the opposite way I came up. Than giggled and said you didn’t come up that Way did ya.

So off I head in the opposite direction in the dark down another long winding washed out dirt road that was 3 times the length as the one coming in but at least I didn’t have to drive off a mountain to get out of there

    Good Times

Yeah I was google mapping it too, yesterday. That is a pretty tight hairpin turn for sure. I'll ride shotgun with you on that drive. lol

It's going to need to wait for the weekend. Scrolling thru goggle maps is more fun in my lazyboy with a beer than after a 14 hour, 464 mile, 10 customer, 7 trailer day. Money is worth it, but dang am I tired.

Has X1 got a new handle? (fwiw, I read the entire story, unlike how I skip over most of X1's blathering)
