Hi guys, will be delivering to Klamath Falls, OR next week and wondering if this route is legal for trucks. Will be taking US-95 north from Nevada, then HWY-140 west. Some stretches of this highway in Oregon are not marked in RM atlas. Wondering if there any restrictions...

No restriction shown on ORDOT site.

It's been 12 to15 years since I've been up that way but, OR140 did have a restriction on 53ft trailers back then. There was either a county sheriff or a resident OR HP that lived on a ranch not far from that stretch that preyed on trucks going that way. Let me say again that was years ago, not sure about now.

I went that way once 10 or so years ago. I traveled 140 between us 95 in NV and us 395 in OR. Not familiar with the stretch between us 395 and klamath falls though. The stretch I went on is totally desolate. No fuel or service. Very bad descent in Oregon just after leaving Nevada. I also remember a restriction once I got on it but didn't turn around. Its passable but I'd go up 395 out of Reno through Sistersville Ca if you can.

From looking at the Map, OR-140 from the NV border to Klamath Falls is red, blue, and brown. According to the guide at the bottom right of page 2, blue routes have an overall length limit of 60 feet for the entire combination if any trailer exceeds 40 feet.ChaoSS and DoneYourWay Thank this. -
I figure 5th gear at about 1300 rpm right into a concrete wall should take care of the length limit.Woodys Thanks this.

If it's a skinny red line on a rand McNally map in Oregon, it is restricted for trucks, and 140 west from 95 is not allowed to Klamath

Much better route is either
I80 to reno then north on us395 then CA299 west then CA139 north then OR140 west.
Or
I80 to reno then north on us395 then north on CA89 then north on I5DoneYourWay Thanks this. -
I am doing similar but need to avoid California
