Where does Schneider send recent graduates for orientation? Is it Green Bay, or the OC near where you live?

It depends on the position... van/tanker/intermodal and where you live... and nobody knows where you live.

Greenbay WI, Gary IN, Houston TX, Reserve LA, Coraopolis PA.... etc... etc...

    Call a recruiter...!

Oops, forgot to put where I'll be living. I'll be living in the Bristol, TN area, and am wanting to go in the van division.

A recruiter can tell you for sure, but probably Greenbay, Gary or Houston... it depends.

might be Indy. Really I think nowadays it s depends on which OC still has seats open for that week. Met a guy from Toledo who went to Charlotte!! Supposed to be Indy but the weather p
    revented that.

Thanks, that makes sense, sure beats having to go to one location only like some of the other companies.

ya know I've been seeing some new folks at Obetz too. They now have a whiteboard welcoming new drivers in the lobby. Made me wonder, driver with brand new boots and had the ice cleats on the table.
Obetz does have enough of the portable Qcomm units to have small classes. See TE trucks come through often too, to park or for relay loads. Have seen what appeared to be new drivers loaded with all their stuff walking into the drivers lounge. HAve also seen what appeared to be TEs training drivers on sliding tandems in some really poor places , like right in the middle of the traffic area to exit, coming out of the mudholes. I understand it , they dont want to get themselves or the trucks interior all muddy but come on, why take the chance of holding another driver up? Pull up parallel with the tractors waiting for service, slide em, then gives a newb some work in turning tightly to get lined up for the exit.

They really need to pave that section of the OC. That mix the use creates way too much dust.

    mickimause Thanks this.
