I'm hearing conflicting information whether or not I'm oversize. I don't think I'm oversize according to the state websites. So I'm here to try and find a definite answer from someone that has more experience than I do.

Both states have 75' overall with max. 10' rear overhang.

I am in Nevada right now Delivering to California.
    Here are my dimensions.

Under Nevada you are not oversize provided you are 75 feet and less than 10' overhang.

Normally anything beyond decking is oversize. But I am not Nevada. I checked theirs.

One thought. You did not say how high.

Not true in most states out west. Spreading false information doesn’t really help anyone.

WA and WY require permits based on what you’re hauling and length of material. Other than that as long as you’re under 10ft off the back and have lights and flags if you’re over 4ft overhang you’re good to go.

Idaho gets picky about front overhang. You need lights and flags if you’re more than 4ft over the front of your trailer too.

What you speak of is somewhat true for a 48. I'm not sure a 53 gets quite the same standards.

WY requires permit for anything that exceeds 60 ft. If you're hauling 60 ft rebar but the distance from front to back is an extra inch. Because none of them will be ligned up perfectly in the front or back.
WY also wants lights on the rear AND the side of rear overhang
AZ requires permit anything over 6 ft. rear overhang.
CO allows 10 ft. IIRC, CA was the same.
    IIRC, NM was 8 ft.

    As for the OP.
AZ measured my truck and 48 @ 65 ft. My next truck was 68 ft. Boss was hoping to avoid as many permits. So the wheelbase was 3 feet longer. To put more overhang on the front. A 53 would have put me at 73 ft. OP must have a long wheelbase truck.

Boss mostly did Cali. The first truck was manageable. The second truck really sucked and resulted in a couple slashed tires on the trailer.

WY would measure I-joists too and the 60 footers were generally a few inches over 60. We had to start telling them 61 foot. And then they wanted flags and signs and the whole 9 yards. I started running up out of Logan to Bear Lake and dropping back down to Evanston just so I didn’t have to deal with the Port.

That is within my understanding also. More or less. Usually three feet. The lumber trucks here with cut pine hanging 15 feet back their racks get a small flag hung on the end of the log.

I don't have issues with LongFLD at all. it's a matter of trying to resolve. Ultimately if it was me with that load in Nevada I would be calling the Law at the Permit Board and give them the information. Do I need permit or not and if so how much and what Curfews, routing etc.

I have extremely little oversize experience. It's enough for me not to deal with hauling houses through a town if I can help not to do that. Be a cat on a hot tin roof unable to get off.
