I wonder if they catch the rebar in some of the WTF holes in the roadway I miss with the tractor.

One just had a double puncture. One was like a tear. About 4 inches apart, and not in line with each other.

Front inside, passenger side. Seems like the insides have this more often as well.

Common trailer tires are just trash. Cheap steer tires work well. Regardless you are 8 times more likely to experience trailer tire issues when you own it.

Funny you should say that. I've ridden motorcycles for over 50 years, tens of thousands of miles, ( over 90K on my 1st GoldWing alone), never had a flat. I move to Colorado, buy a dual sport for the hills, picked up a nail in the back tire, in the Rocky Mountains, of all places. I was about 15 miles from home, so I rode it home on the flat, slowly, not near as much fun as with full tires. Then I sold the bike.

It comes and goes. Ebb and flow.

I don’t ever have any problems with the inflation systems except for sometimes the lines might want to loosen off.

You may just be going through a string of bad luck. Maybe talk to your guys about being extra diligent but sometimes it is what it is.

Obviously virgin tires do the best, but if you run caps I’d only do it with virgins that have been through a wear cycle on your own equipment. Tires that wear funny I trade in for credit, only keeping the ones that went their whole life with normal wear. You can recap funny worn tires but in my experience they just do it again. The problem is in the belts or out of round. Just get rid of them.

Punctures and such are luck of the draw I feel like. As someone else mentioned have your guys stay off the shoulder if they can keep from it. Like I said though, unless you just have some bad tires, I think your just going through a tough luck period.

    Regardless, congrats on the trailers.

Edit: I’ve had good luck with the Bridgestone. I’m doing a test right now with 4 trailers that need tires. They came new with the B stones. Each trailer gets new shoes, new shocks, alignment, and tires. 1 trailer gets virgin Bridgestones as it came with. 1 trailer gets virgin Michelin’s to test, then the other two get recapped Michelin from the Bridgestone casings from the first two trailers. We’ll see what happens.

3, not sure but had two holes from?
I watch where I put my wheels since I am frugal and don't much like buying tires, but will only run good quality tires

When I baught a 20 year old trailer to start out with last year in Jan, I practically had a blowout a week for the first 2 months of driving. Old tires that came with the trailer. Replaced them all with used tires as they blew and didn't have any more flats after that. Got rid of the trailer a few weeks ago.
