What? An inside delivery that wasn't paid for? If they don't pay for it they don't get it. As for the extra charges, you just need to write it somewhere on the bill. The account of whoever paid the freight charges will be billed later.
Company checks are often okay here. You would just have to call your company's collection department.
Your job is to deliver it and that's it. How she gets it in the house is her problem.
I would have told the store employee about the c o d before beginning unloading. No money, no freight.
The cops would love to see a hand truck in the cab with you. I would have had them remove something at the dock.
I have to make routing modifications all the time. Once I free up about 8' of trailer, I can usually work with whatever is on board. My stops are often 20 miles apart, so proper routing is critical. I do whatever is most efficient, no matter what order the so-called router hands me the bills in.
