I JUST got off the phone with a buddy of mine and was telling him about this thread and the discussion. He asked if I had been hiding in a cave or what.He just gave $3600.oo for the full meal deal from Cat in his E model. He proceeded to tell me if I was that far behind on parts prices I'd best leave that 007 alone if I get healed up and just try to get a job as a Walmart greeter because I'm living in the stone age.:biggrin_25523:

paccar is really going to have the market. when they build a base truck what engine is it going to have? The only reason they will put in another engine is buy custom order.

Not well respected at all actually unless you are Dutch then it's national pride I guess.

We have those engines in dafs over here, those engines won't make half a million miles nevermind one million, I'm speaking from experience, I owned two of them, bought two new ones in 2003, one made 230,000 kms and the second 540,000 kms, that's kilometres not miles ! I know plenty of people here with the same experience, if they don't blow up before 600,000 kms they will be worn out, even newer engines are having the same problems, dropping valves, egr problems, burning oil, cracking and warping heads, my friends one is 2009, leave it idle for 2 minutes and it will fill the while yard with smoke , stay far away from them, absolute crap, stick with your cummins guys !
