Hi everyone,
I am sure I missed this somewhere on the forum, but I will ask anyway. Where do you park the truck on hometime? I live in Columbus Ohio and I start class Sept. 3rd.
Thanks

If parking at home isn't an option, get started looking for good places and ask the owners permission. Or look for a drop yard and pay rent.
DoneYourWay Thanks this. -
Rusty's Towing here in Columbus told me a few months ago I could park there.
They wanted 15.00 bucks a day. Check Craigslist Columbus and they also have some places listed there. -
Starting oreintation on the 3rd but right now not sure though i suspect that the empty lot across from my place will suffice. That is where other truckers park. Depends on where my company will let me.

if the lot across the street is being used by other truckers be prepared for trucking wars with the other trucks about parking spaces. lots of luck in trucking school
-
Yeah there is only 3 trucks that paark there and there is enough for about 15. It is a gravel lot.

I've never heard of trucking company telling you where to park on home time, but I could be wrong? The exception is if trailer is loaded would be my guess. Otherwise just use rule never park it where you're not comfortable parking your own car for days.
