I currently work for a company and get paid .35cpm. I only average 1500-2200miles per week. I'm not mouthy with dispatch, late only when they send me to the wrong city.
I left a construction job making 65k a year so this 600$ a week ain't working. I can tough it out here a year for the experience but I need more green in my life.
After 1 year I'll make .41cpm here hauling van. Anyone know companies that pay better then that and will give me decent miles? Thanks.

Just a minor question. How is it possible to go to the wrong city? With the amount of precise information in today's world of google earth, addresses etc... And not to forget our GPS etc.

    Puppage and DAX_ Thank this.

How much experience do you now have?
    Do you have endorsements?
Where is your location; state & nearest city?
$65K is easy to make in trucking; you're with the wrong company.
Edit : I was making $65K a year at .36 cpm and additional accessorial pays and only worked 11 months a year. This was OTR tanker work.

I've got 3 months of experience. I actually love it out here but the pay is awful for me. I don't have a home anymore so I don't need time off like most people.
I got tired of construction. I'd sooner flip burgers at McDonald's then go back. There's nothing worth hating it when you wake up eachmorning. Plus my injury makes construction hurt alot more then it used to

I picked up bol from dispatch and was told go to a ####ty city on the east coast. I noticed the bol address was different then where they were telling me to go, so I asked dispatch. They said to go on down the road of course it was right. Well I got halfway and again called dispatch to double check and again was told to just drive it there. I get there dealing with a customer who's upset they have an unscheduled truck. After 6 hours dispatch tells me I was right it needed to go 200miles the other direction because the dispatch address was wrong. Whatever I still get paid.
I work for CFI and they are a good company but I need 1000$ a week to be confortable.
