For those who wanted to know about Payable Tolls.
Attention Van Truckload Contractors;
In conjunction with the ongoing update to the Independent Contractor Operating Agreement,
effective April 1st
we are republishing the list of allowable state tolls where you may either
manually submit or use a Schneider linked EZ pass without having those toll costs deducted
from your settlement. This is not a contractual obligation; however we recognize it is a key to
facilitating your cash flow. The toll costs submitted from the following states are allowable
and will not be subject to deduction from your settlement:
 New Jersey
 New York
 Maryland
 Delaware
 Pennsylvania
 West Virginia
 Massachusetts
 Maine
 New Hampshire
 Illinois
 Oklahoma
Any submitted toll cost incurred from outside of the above listed states, will be deducted
from your settlement.
As an independent business, you may opt to procure your own separate account for tolls in
certain states that we do not exempt from deduction. This is an individual decision based on
your business need. This can be done directly with the concerned state. Should you have
questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Operations Team for further information.
Thank you and be safe.
Best regards,
Payable Tolls.

I don't understand the OH and IN portion . I know you can go around them but if your paying the others what's the difference .. Lol
JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this. -
They hit me up for tolls(Illinois) coming through Chicago when I left orientation.
I was told by my rep they don't pay Illinois.
Better check to be sure..I was told this twice.
As for Indiana and Ohio..doesn't make sense. -
I never been hit for Chicago
-
My mistake it was Indiana..sorry about that!
-
Because US 30 is a viable alternative to the turnpike. So that ones on the driver. At least for company.
-
SNI is paying the others listed. Rickys title could use a tweek to SNI payable tolls.
-
It's the same for us as a IC also
-
Also be careful with the Navigo routing - MOST of the time it won't route you on toll roads SNI won't pay but sometimes it will. An example: VA-895 in Richmond, VA - I've delivered to Frito there, which is accessed off of 295, then go home which requires me to jump over to I-85, the MCP will route you on VA-895 which is a toll road but SNI doesn't cover it.
mickimause Thanks this. -
I sometimes run the Ohio turnpike if it is a better/faster route,it's like $23 to run the whole thing. Indiana on the other hand I won't touch mainly because U.S 30 aint a bad ride and it's like $38 or $40 to run Indiana. Little too rich for my blood lol.
