Glad you're home, I know it's possible it was some snafu, and they will whine like a bad bearing making you think everything will be ok. If they make good on the check, I might give them another chance, but wouldn't turn a wheel for them until it's right, and if it happens again, then I'd be done. Did a check ever bounce before?

sadly however, many are broke from paycheck to paycheck, expecting more than what they got. or making sure the spouse (or significant other at home) gets the bulk of the paycheck
many too, just do not think to carry extra hidden cash for emergencies, nor a valid non-maxed out credit card.
i feel for them, i really do, and i just knew way back when to protect myself first and foremost.
some trucking companies, no matter thier size, are not looking out for us, and that's the way it is.bzinger, Dave_in_AZ and snowwy Thank this. -
I have been working a lot of years......for numerous companies. Only
one company bounced payroll checks. That company went out of business
shortly there after. I have yet to see a company bounce checks and stay in
business.
I realize starting over is a royal pita......but working for nothing
is too. I would recommend finding a new company as soon as possible.
The ONLY way I would even CONSIDER doing any more work for this
company is if the owner shows up at your door with CASH. CASH for
every penny of past wages...…..extra for interest, penalties, etc. He
needs to pay every penny plus at least %25. In addition he would pay
for the next trip, in cash, before you leave the house. COD only.
Hopefully you have a few dollars saved up. Take a few days off...…
take a deep breath...…..fill out a few applications.....take some time and
find a better job. Good Luck.Accidental Trucker Thanks this. -
No it has never bounced before. And they are refusing to pay any portion of the check. He says he to far in debt and there is nothing he can do about it. Sorry!LtlAnonymous, Dave_in_AZ and 201 Thank this.

Agree..Fuel card not working is a huge red flag.

From what I’ve heard if you got the actual check that bounced and brought a case to small claims court you’ll be awarded triple what the check was ( at least that’s how it works in MA) Unfortunately if they file for bankruptcy you’re sol.
Sadly, you’re probably best to just write it off as a learning experience and move on..as I’ve had to do twice now.. once from T4flu Trucking llc (Lease operator for Tun Express) for $5k and now from All Pro Logistics out of Romulus, MI for my last settlement as an O/O.
It really stinks and you’ll probably stew over it for a long time.. -
Check your state laws. In Virginia a bounced check of $200 or more is a felony.
Take it to the court house and they issue a warrant on the spot.brian991219, bzinger and 6wheeler Thank this.
