Even if you don't get your money back, you can do severe damage to the company or individual by reporting the bad check. So, report the bad check. It is a much more serious thing than in days past, and it stays on the company's ( individual's) record for 10 years.

 

When you say it this way it almost sounds like a compliment LOL

If it’s 500 now then it’s changed. I had to use this on. 290 check in the 90’s.

Ok, well, that tears it then. I wouldn't even bother suing this person, they don't have anything now. Put it in the rear view mirror, and by all means, be careful who you go on with. Chinatown here gives some awful credible advice, and has helped many. You've got the experience, maybe more so than some, you know what can happen with a company. And how would you know, I'm sure everything was fine for a while. What kind of trucking is it, van, reefer? That will help Chinatown make a better decision for you. All states will not consider a bounced check from a legitimate source --->>> employer - as fraudulent. If this was the case, a lot of people would be felons.

 

Start looking for a new job.. they already proven that are not trustworthy.. so get another job now !!
