I have just started driving for a new company. And i have been put into a Pete 579. The truck already has a cb in it. But i am wanting to put my own in. I have a cobra 29 LX camo edition, but i do not think that it will fit in the cubby. Any suggestions on a good radio to work for this setup? I am not allowed to drill any holes into the interior of the truck.
Peterbilt 579 cb cubby.

Any working radio would do the trick. What's wrong with the radio in the truck? You might consider the redneck method I've used.....adhesive Velcro to hold the radio to the dash.
-
I would just like a different radio. Its a cobra 29 nightwatch, so not a bad radio. But i wasnt sure if like a stryker would fit.

Stryker recently made a radio the same size as a Cobra 25. I believe it's the SR-447 HPC-2.

Still a pretty good radio?

An idea.....If your radio fits and the plastic cubby hole part is replaceable,go that route....Doin somethin the same with the stereo in my cascadia..

I have the same model truck. I run a galaxy dx 929. It fits perfect.

Would you be able to post a picture?

Hope that helps

It does yes. I didnt know if the bigger radios would fit in there. I've had my cobra 29 lx peaked and tuned, but was wanting to get something better down the road. Was thinking about a stryker. (Wont lie, i like my lights. Lol)
