You can PM it to me and I'll resize it for you and send it back. Or if it's already in your photo album, tell me which one.

Trey resizing it in MSPaint and saving it as a .jpg or .png file. Make sure the "Mantain aspect ratio" is checked under Win7/vista, or use the same percentage in XP.

I didn't think of that. Yes, you can easily resize it in paint. Save it as a jpeg, jpg, png or bmp. The only one you shouldn't use is .gif as it's not forum friendly. jpeg is the most common and bmp is the best quality.

I have Photoshop and a Canon program I use. But everyone has Paint. Today is the first time I looked at Paint in a few years. It has improved alot. I like it. Thanks BJ

ok thats confusing:biggrin_25524: I have Windows Live Photo Gallery. Thats what I use to crop and edit my pics. I have no idea about .jpg or .png files could you explain some more if you don't mind. :biggrin_25519:
I started a photobucket last night but still think its easier for ppl to just see the picture here then have to click on a link.

When you save a photo you have two drop down menu's.

The first one is where you save it and the second one is the file type. Computers will automatically recommend one based on what it is. The only time you really have to worry is when you save a photo off a website. Some will be .gif and in the drop down menu, you save it as .jpeg or one of the others. That way it will be usuable everywhere you transfer it to.

Press the Start button or Windows icon in the bottom left of your screen.

Select All Programs and then Accessories. Under Accessories you will find Paint.

Click on it and Paint will open.

In Paint, If you have Windows7, click on the left tab in the top left corner (Windows XP, select FILE in the top left corner). Click on Open. Then you will find your photo.

Once you have your photo in Paint, click on Resize
There you change by percentage or by pixels. Select pixels. Change the horizontal value to 80 and the vertical value will automatically change. Then press OK.

Then back to the top left tab again, select Save As and you select where and file type. Then you have a usable avatar for here.
