Trucks are constant work. Your neighbor is trying to be your best friend now. Isn't he? He has reasons.
Doesn't matter, new or used. -
Before you purchase anything make sure you will be able to insure it. Getting liability insurance for the scenario you describe might be nigh onto impossible because of the size of the vehicle and the lack of operator experience. Check it.
Good luck.littletiny Thanks this. -
FL is the wrong truck to be looking at for dirt work. They aren't built for the abuse.
Kw, Pete, and Mack are the trucks to be looking for.201 Thanks this. -
Wow they take semis and remove the sleeper and put a dump body on them?
With the amount of trucks that are made for dump work that are looking for owners, why would any one want to do that with a truck setup for highway driving and lighter loads on the chassis?snowwy Thanks this. -
It's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying a new one. This kind of revolutionized farming. Does away with those dangerous wagons, and can haul a lot more. This is what I did for my friend.

Why is the steering wheel on the right side?
-
They dont take the sleeper off. They are day cabs so they only take the 5th wheel off.
-
HA! Good one, judging by the "cow catcher" bumper, this is probably "down under" somewhere.
-
Actually, on my friend's, they did. It was an old Roehl truck, that they cut back off the cab and put a daycab piece on the back. Looked stock.
