Hello from Dallas!
I am bored and broke and have been waiting for a load for 52 hours. And this is the "home" terminal. Is everybody out there as slooooww as we have been? My hubby and I are O/O leased to a ltl company and last week we got a WHOPPING 800 miles-Team. I have been in this business for 13 years and have never seen it so bad. So PLEASE, oh PLEASE won't somebody, anybody just fire me and get it over with?
Please just FIRE ME, get it over with!

I GET SO CRANKY SITTING IN A PARKING LOT!!To me there is really NOTHING worse than sitting in my truck in a parking lot. I just hate it. I know that I can't go home but I sure don't want to sit here. I have checked in with a few of the drivers I have met over the years and they are in either the same or close to the same situation as me. Some are company drivers, some O/O's, some are already layed off locally. I am glad to have joined this site, it gives me an outlet for my frustrations. Hail, Hail to all of you who are running tonight. I won't be in your way.1pissedoffdriver Thanks this. -
Ummm Fast I hate to say this but right now O/O may be the worst thing to be in a company which hires co, and o/o. Think of it this way an o/o will make more on a run than what the co. driver will, especially if the co. driver is new. The company also has contracts with various truck companys to purchase or lease their equipment therfore they are losing money if that leased equipment is sitting, but they lose no money if you the o/o are sitting. Thats just my view of current economics, but it does make financial sense.

hey there fast...welcome to the group....sorry for the misfortunes.....but trust me we ALL understand......and no they will not fire us just let us die a slow agonizing death...anyway hope you find some threads that you feel at home with and can while away the hours......

Hi lonewolf, I appreciate the comeback. I know that the economy stinks and that IF I were leased on to a company with company trucks to compete with it would be worse for me. That's why I am complaining tonight...this is a all O/O company. I'm just grouchy from looking at this parking lot for 54 hours now! It was nice of you to reply. Gives me someone interesting to interact with.

hmmm with it being an all o/o company they are going to be competing with companies that hire co drivers. Anyways I hope you get to rolling soon, right now I am actually in training for a company also located in the dallas area

Hey lil Blue, good of you to offer some understanding. Throw me a lifeline! First I survived 5 dollar a gal. fuel, then when fuel got reasonable BANG...no freight. Can there be anything else that will conspire to take my FUN outta truckin! Thanks for the reply and the well wishes.
