I'm a little late tp reply but I just found this site. I have been on PolyOne for almost 3 yrs. I started out regional you will run as far as Minnesota, Georgia, mass. some Missouri. Pretty good customers. You will get a mix of raw materials witch PolyOne to PolyOne. Or product out to customers. then backhaul to Ohio. Most loads are heavy. You will be hauling gaylords full of plastic resin. Some Canada loads, if no PolyOne load out they will deadhead you back. Dbl and dispatcher are very good people to work for. Honestly I don't have a single bad thing to say about anyone in the office. They wil always get you home for the weekend. Have deadheaded back to Ohio from Georgia just to get home.
I have been on the local PolyOne for over a year now. Freight is the same we just do muti stop loads in Michigan, pa, and ohio. Pretty easy stuff but on the local side the pay is pretty bad. Which is why I think I will be switching to a different acct soon. Local avg pay 750-800 a week gross. So after they take everything away it doesn't leave a whole lot. You can do pretty good running regional PolyOne though. Plus almost all of those guys have the new trucks.
Those frustrating days that you read about in these Schneider posts, they are few and far between on the PolyOne acct. I have only had a few days where you really wish you were doing something else. Hope this helps get an idea of the acct
